A few months ago Bebe swung down to Atlanta for a weekend to shoot with Fela and I. We had a blast and got to try out some experimental ideas that I’ve been wanting to shoot.

Taken earlier today. I’ve never taken a photo then turned around and uploaded it right away. For some reason I’ve always felt that a good idea, or a great vision for an image has to simmer in the back recesses of your creative third eye to full mature into art.

Then I realized I was just procrastinating. Bebe S. Bellamont is hanging out with me this weekend to model, be cool, and make art. She wanted to see how I retouched, and like a magician I was reluctant to show my tricks. The next thing I knew I had a glass of wine in my hand, and I somehow finished the shot above. Tomorrow we’re going to be shooting with the lovely Fela Fray.

This is the long planned counterpart to Black Queen which I finished last Summer.

Bebe is unique because of how cool she is. Halfway through shooting a particular look I’ll have to put the camera down to laugh at a joke she just cracked. She has been known to bust out the The Robot in between poses. Needless to say, it’s always a blast working with her. This was our second time working together. Our first time was during Dragon*Con 2007 when she was here promoting a movie production company. I asked her what ideas she had for a shoot and she said “anything with water”.
