Irrupt was an idea that my wonderful makeup artist and partner in crime, Jennifer Denise, came up with. I took the idea, added a little LT spice and baked it up. This series means a lot to me personally, and (believe it or not) represents a lot of what has happened to me in the past few months. I won’t tell you what it means to me. I’m more concerned about what it means to YOU.

The words on the model are from a poem, entitled “Disposable”, by Jewels.

irÂ·rupt – Pronunciation[i-ruhpt]
â€“verb (used without object)
1. to break or burst in suddenly.
2. to manifest violent activity or emotion, as a group of persons.
3. (of animals) to increase suddenly in numbers through a lessening of the number of deaths.

Images 5 through 8 of my Skin Two set. These images are pretty much the center piece of my entire Skin Two set, and possibly the most complicated pieces of art I have ever created.

Shed

Its kind of hard to believe that this is the tamest shot out of my Skin Two set. The day of my liquid latex shoot I found myself short one model, I needed to replace her and quickly. I was in a bind since a lot of the shots I had planned for that day involved 2 models. A friend of the model I was working with just happened to be free that afternoon. After a quick phone call she showed without even seeing my work or knowing who I was, unfortunately she had to be at work 2 hours and there was no way I was going to get the shots I needed in that time. So we rescheduled for the next weekend.

I did have a much more erotic and provocative shot of her that I planned to send to print, but it already 2am, and I only had about 1-2 hours to retouch a photo before I sent off my entire set to the printer. My first choice from her set would have taken me 4-6 hours easily. Since I had to wake up in 4 hours to go to work, I went with the tamer shot.

The Doll Series

The Doll Series kind of just happened by accident. Whenever I’m about to do a themed shoot, or begin a large photo project I like to take a few “Warm Up” shots. Especially with models I’m working with for the first time. I do this so the model loosens up in front of the camera and gets into the groove of understanding how I give instruction, and how I shoot. So when it comes time to get serious and get the shot that I’ve been planning for weeks, they’ll slip into that mode of thought easily. Sometimes I’ll use the shots in my portfolio, most of the time I don’t.

Usually warm up shots only take about 15-30 minutes (minus hair and makeup). This took about 2 hours mostly because the shots I was getting were really good.

Visceral Lust

I was reluctant to add this one to my Skin Two collection, but I felt it was the most powerful from the set I did that day. And yes, this is one of the shots that came from the Great Weekend of Chocolate. I’ll be retouching more photos from that set to go onto my site, and various portfolios, but this is the only one from that theme that is going to Skin Two.
